In this premiere episode of Turning the Tempo, host Corey Miller discusses how the Roslyn Marching Band’s heated rivalry with the Mineola Mustangs fueled the club’s unparalleled progress over the last ten years.
Roslyn’s musicians play their instruments with passion and they march with purpose. That drive and determination is anchored in lessons facilitated by the band’s committed staff, who have created a culture of empathy and support, reminiscent of a family.
The season commences every March when the band starts from scratch, putting together the pieces that will become a show. With a competitive landscape, the Roslyn Bulldogs still managed to obtain 7 first place titles throughout the 2024 season (“Roslyn Marching”). Despite Mineola’s stellar reputation, Roslyn managed to triumph at the overarching championship competition in Syracuse, exemplifying their deep commitment to their show.
